PERSONAL WORK

As an avid cinema goer growing up in the 1960s, my ambition was to be a movie poster artist like Bob Peak or Bob McGinnis, whose work I religiously copied. My timing was off, within a decade photography was king, and the idea of an illustrated poster was becoming obsolete. But even now, the extraordinary faces of that era continue to bloom in my imagination and inspire my work, recalling a time when beauty, individuality and style were their own reward. They are my icons still.
